Downtown is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the feel of this part of Malden. Downtown is reasonably quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue, however some areas can be quite loud, especially closer to the railway line. On the other hand, it is very easy to get to parks in the neighborhood since there are around 10 of them close by for residents to enjoy. Finally, even though this part of Malden is not known for its vibrancy, its busier streets can still be quite energetic, and with the nightlife venues in nearby neighborhoods, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located very close by.
